Sri Lanka Round Tours
Day 1 Colombo
Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up from the Bandaraniyaka International airport. This person will be your private driver cum guide for the entire duration of your Sri Lanka round tour. For the first night of your tour, you will be driven to Colombo – the commercial capital of the island. You will check in to Galle Face Hotel for your first night in Sri Lanka.
Day 2 & 3 – Anuradhapura
In the morning of Day Two, you will be driven to the city of Anuradhapura. This is the city of ancient ruins where you can obtain an in-depth explanation of the history of Sri Lanka. One of the stops in between would be The Ancient City of Yapahuwa: a 300 foot fortified wonder that dates back to the 13th century.
During the morning of Day three, you will get the chance to visit the Mihintale Buddhist Temple where you will find more ruins amongst the first Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka. Afterwards you can enjoy the rest of the day in the ambiance of your accommodation. Forest Rock Garden is where your accommodation will be arranged for days two and three.
Day 4 – Sigiriya
On day four, you will move from Anuradhapura to Sigiriya where we have some adventure lined up for you amidst the dated historical ruins. Sigiriya, also known as the “Lions Rock” is a palace built by an ancient King on top of a rock. To see the palace you have to climb the rock, which is quite a do-able activity by most of us.
During your climb you will see some beautiful frescos embedded in the rock and a Lion’s Gate, as the entrance to the palace. At the top you will see ruins of the palace as well as an amazingly breathtaking view of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. After this adventurous activity, you will be driven to Heritance Kandalama for a relaxing night stay in a luxurious atmosphere.
Day 5 & 6 – Kandy
The next day you will head towards the hill capital of the Island – Kandy. On the way you will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can mingle with the elephants and be a part of their lifestyle. Later in the day you can visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Kandy to see some of the most exquisite flora that Sri Lanka boasts of. The Golden Crown is where you will be sleeping over on day five and six.
On day six you will be taken to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, this golden roofed Temple houses the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. Afterwards, you can enjoy the Kandy Town for what it is by having an amazing sightseeing experience. Towards the evening you can enjoy an entertaining Kandyan Cultural Dance Show.
Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya
On day seven, we will explore the panoramic beauty of the beautiful town of Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England”. En route, you will come across attractive waterfalls amongst the hills. Your driver will stop at one upon your request if you wish to take a dip. You will then check in to Heritance Tea Factory Hotel. A visit to the hotel’s neighboring tea factory and a fun-filled tea plucking experience is also lined up for you on this day.
Day 8 & 9 – Ella
After touring the town of Nuwara Eliya and indulging in some delicious strawberry meals, you will head to the Nanu Oya railway station. From here you will take an absolutely stunning train journey to the charming town of Ella. Upon reaching Ella in the evening, you will check in to 98 Acres Resort & Spa for the next two nights.
The next morning, we advise you to sacrifice some sleep and wake up at the crack of dawn to be able to explore the breathtaking view of sunrise from the “Ella Gap”. This is the astonishing view in between two cliffs that creeps up with the sunrise every morning. The rest of the day is left for your relaxation.
Day 10 – Yala
On day ten of your Sri Lankan Round Tour, you will depart from the city of Ella. After checking in to Cinnamon Wild Yala, you will engage in an evening full of fun-filled wildlife safari activities.
Day 11 & 12 – Galle
The next morning, you will be a part of the morning game drive at the camping site and then move on to the final lap of your tour: exploring the gorgeous combination of sun, sand and water in Sri Lanka.
For exploring the beaches of Sri Lanka, you could revitalize yourself with the help of the Southern Coastline of Sri Lanka.
During your two days stay at the luxurious Fortress Resort in Galle, you will be taken to visit the Galle Dutch Fort, where you will study the well preserved fort from the time of the Portuguese rule. In neighbouring towns, you can visit the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda, coral reefs in Hikkaduwa and also indulge in some exciting water sports along the Southern Coastline.
Day 13 – Colombo
Towards the latter half of day thirteen, you will depart to the city of Colombo. Upon reaching Colombo, Galle Face Hotel is where you will sleep over for the night.
The next morning is left free for you to shop and explore Colombo. Depending on the time of your flight, you will be driven to the airport two-three hours in advance.

Wonderful experience of Sri Lanka
My family and I had a fantastic two week visit with Budget Arugambay Tours. We went from Colombo to Kandy to Yala and along to Galle before returning. Our guide was perfect -so accommodating and was such fun for the children. He took time to understand what we were keen to experience – the countryside and wildlife of Sri Lanka – and took us to truely beautiful places. We always stayed in lovely, family-friendly hotels. Ansa was also very knowledgeable about the culture and history of the areas we travelled in. Highlights were seeing elephants in the river, whale watching and swimming in Mirissa and a day’s safari in Yala’s National Park. I would thoroughly recommend Budget Arugambay Tours!

Superb 14 Day Tour of Sri Lanka
My partner and I have just returned from a holiday in Sri Lanka to celebrate her 40th birthday. From the first inquiry, agreeing the itinerary and the tour itself, I cannot compliment Budget Arugambay Tours enough. Their response to every e mail was truly exceptional. I can see why they were so strongly recommend to us by friends who had used Budget Arugambay Tours earlier in the year.
Our chauffeur and guide throughout the holiday was Ishak who proved to be very knowledgeable and was dedicated to giving us the best experience possible. We had a superb holiday in a beautiful and welcoming country.

Tailored 2 week private tour for 3 couples
Much time had been spent planning the itinerary for our 2 week tour and there’s no doubt it certainly paid off. The driver and guide combination of Dilan and Faina were a well oiled team who planned and delivered on every aspect of the tour which had been agreed between our friend and Jenifer. Extra places were added and itineraries changed to accommodate landslides and pouring rain.
Both had a great sense of humor and excellent knowledge of and passion for their country. Highlights included 2 days at Mahoora tented campsite at Yala enjoying safaris as well as exploring all history that Sri Lanka has on offer, cycling visit to the markets, cooking lessons, fishing, train rides, rock climbs, caves, beaches, fishing etc. It was fun, engaging and inspiring. We would be glad to welcome Faina and Dilan into our homes and certainly recommend them to others. Budget Arugambay Tours 14 day tour of Sri Lanka
Credit to Budget Arugambay Tours, who through our very competent friendly guide, Faina and excellent patient driver, Ishak, provided us with an interesting, stimulating and informative travelling opportunity .
Ishak anticipated our needs and worked obligingly to fulfill them, initially by meeting us at the airport very late in the evening, followed by dealing easily with every eventuality over the next 14 days.
Ishak showed initiative and organised the days travel in a logical order, including anticipating when we would arrive at a venue, so that we never waited for the site guide or our returning bus, on any occasion. Faina and Ansa worked with our total group really well, especially in relation to meals and drinks and the extra activities/ visits that we made.
Both our guide and driver provided us with information about Sri Lanka and answered our questions.
Ishak payed attention to our personal safety requirements, not only with regards to traffic but also in assisting us up and down steps and on inclines, his care was much appreciated

We had a great time touring the cultural triangle with our guide Abdull. Budget Arugambay Tours was able to tailor our tour itinerary in a personalized way to meet our needs and requests. 12 Day tour of Sri Lanka
Myself and two girlfriends spent a fabulous nearly two weeks touring with Ansa from Budget Arugambay Tours in mid September. The accommodation was top class throughout the buffet breakfasts and dinners were amazing – a highlight for me being a separate room at some for desserts – heaven. So despite a bit of walking and physical activity on the tour a loss of weight was not likely. Ansa was a great guide filling us in on history along the way, making sure we had what we needed and sharing a laugh along the way. Sadly our train adventures were curtailed by breakdowns and strikes – however we had the luxury of calling on Ansa when we were stranded.
Ella was a highlight as well as the beach near Galle. No hesitation in recommending Budget Arugambay Tours – fabulous throughout the booking process of which there was a lot of to and fro-ing. Delivered everything promised and more and good value for money.

Beautiful holiday with an amazing guide!
We booked a trip for 14 days in Sri Lanka. We got to see various beautiful places and were able to do a lot of activities in a relative short period of time. But all of this wouldn’t be able without our wonderful guide Ansa. He has been very kind, knew a lot about the country and was very flexible. In some cases we wanted to avoid the typically touristy places and Ansa was very open to adjust to our wishes and had some good alternatives. I would highly recommend Ansa as a guide. He gave us an memorable holiday!
