Honeymoon in Sri Lanka
Our representatives will meet you at the Bandaranaika International Airport and drive you to the capital city of Colombo. There you will check in to Paradise Road Tintagel for your first night of the honeymoon tour in Sri Lanka.
The next day you can shop, relax and take a city tour of Colombo to catch glimpses of the city. Your next night will be at the same hotel in Colombo.
On day three, you will be driven to the town of Tirapanne and on the way, you will be making a stop at the Ancient City of Yapahuwa, where you will get the chance to explore the unique and wonderful ruins standing for more than a thousand years. Your night stay will be at Ulagalla Resort in Tirapanne.
The following morning you will be exploring the Ancient City of Anuradhapura. After the exploration, you will be taken to the jaw dropping temple of Mihintale. Upon completion, you will be driven back to Ulagalla Resort for your night stay.
Upon checking out from the hotel on day five, you will be taken to visit the “Lion’s Rock” in Sigiriya and the Cave Temple in Dambulla. Your next stop will be in Kandy where you will check in to Kandy House for the night.
We have left day six free for you to relax at the hotel with your loved one. Your night stay will be at Kandy Tree House.
The next morning you will be taken to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy where you will obtain blessings from the Monks. A city tour of Kandy is lined up next, after which you will head towards the breathtaking town of Nuwara Eliya. After a stop at the Ramboda Water Falls, you will check in to Heritance Tea Factory for the night.
Day eight is another day of relaxation on your Sri Lanka honeymoon at the luxury cosy hotel we have selected for your accommodation.
Nuwara Eliya is also known as “Little England”. On day nine we will show you around Little England and then board you onto a train to the town of Ella. You get to enjoy this scenic train ride and then we will drive you to 98 Acres Resort and Spa for your overnight stay.
The last Three days of your honeymoon tour to Arugambay where you can indulge in the beautiful beach and go into total relaxation mode at the hotel with your beloved partner. also on the way you will explore the “Little Adams Peak” as well as the Rawana Water Falls before departing to the city of Arugambay You will be taken on a Jeep Safari in Kumana National Park Safari , Surf Lessons, Night Club Party and will sleep Our Booking Hotel Star Rest Surf Camp.
After exploring the Arugambay on day thirteen, you will head back to Colombo. Your night stay will be at Paradise Road Tintagel in Colombo.

A special anniversary
For our 25th wedding anniversary we decided to travel to Sri Lanka and we selected Budget Arugambay Tours as our guides.
I cannot express how happy we were with our choice. The people were friendly, the country beautiful and our tour guide an expert.
Our driver Mr. Ansa met us at the airport with flowers and a smile, and for every moment of our stay he made everything perfect.
Mr. Abdull called several times to make sure all was well and we felt completely looked after.

Honeymoon
Mr Ansa took us all over this beautiful country – we had the time of our lives. Cannot recommend this company enough! He even invited us to his home to meet his family and have a home cooked Sri Lankan Curry. What a wonderful country and a wonderful company to explore it with.
Sri Lanka 4th Anniversary celebration
We’re coming to the close of a 14 day tour of Sri Lanka.
From the moment I researched holidays in this beautiful country, one company stood out as the best: Budget Arugambay Tours. You didn’t disappoint. Finding a perfect itinerary with Ansa was great fun. Thank goodness for WhatsApp and google… we had a great time feeding information back and forth as we found the perfect locations and hotels for this special anniversary tour.
Our tour guide throughout, Faina, has been five star fantastic! He ensured that we visited all the amazing places. He accompanied us when we needed a guide, this being our first trip to Sri Lanka. And he arranged personal guides for us at all the places we visited… making it a truly memorable experience. The daily telephone calls with Ansa were also appreciated… making sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. From elephants, to temples, rock fortresses, Horton Planes and rainforest walk, city tours, the sublime train journey to Ella, and the incredible day safari… every expectation was surpassed. Every journey and pick-up was seamless. And the transfers within Sri Lanka, between accommodation, gave us a view of the varying countryside and forests that we will never forget.
Ansa pulled out all the stops to meet our accommodation requirements. The four key hotels were all exceptional: Water Garden, Sigiriya, Kings Pavilion, Kandy, Heritance Tea Factory, Newura Eliya, and then Flameback Eco Lodge, Yala. Faina made sure that our welcome at each was made special… and we really appreciated it. The Star Rest Hotel Hotels in Arugambay and Galle at the start and towards the end were perfect stays by the coast. Turtle watching at Galle was a extra special treat… from the comfort of the hotel beach. And now we’re finishing off at the superb Shangri-La, Colombo, with yet again, another incredible welcome.
Would we recommend Budget Arugambay Tours: absolutely. every one of you. This is a holiday we will never forget. And we’ll be back.
Perfect 2.5 week honeymoon!
After being unsatisfied with U.K. tour agency itineraries for Sri Lanka, we contacted Budget Arugambay Tours to put together our itinerary for our honeymoon.Ansa responded very quickly and after a couple of amendments our perfect honeymoon was created, for a much lower cost than what U.K. tour agencies had quoted us!
Our driver, Inam, was excellent. The car was clean and air conditioned and he was a friendly, punctual and safe driver and always provided plenty of water and lots of snacks (king coconuts and bananas from the roadside vendors etc!)
He stopped off at many places on route that weren’t necessarily on our itinerary in order to break up the journeys, he also took us to really cheap local eats at our request (as we wanted a proper Sri Lankan experience and no buffets!!)
On our relaxation days he was still around to pick us up to take us out for dinner when we wanted to be out of the hotel, which we really appreciated. It was so nice not having to worry at all about transportation anywhere, he really couldn’t do enough for us!
Natasha and Ansa from the Budget Arugambay Tours office were regularly in touch checking we were having a good time. We also appreciated the fuss made of us for our honeymoon, all of the hotels decorated the rooms and in some we had free fizz, free fruit, room upgrades etc! We’ve felt so special and looked after, it’s exceeded our expectations!
There really are no additional costs (other than nominal tips for the guides, which were excellent by the way, especially Faina at Arugambay!) and we loved not having to worry about a thing! Budget Arugambay Tours and Ansa really did take care of everything, but equally when we did want our own time to explore alone, they accommodated this as well.
We will certainly recommend Budget Arugambay Tours to friends, and if you want a kind, friendly and very safe driver who answers any questions you may have about local life and ensures you feel safe and looked after, we highly recommend you ask for Ansa!

Fantastic 12 day honeymoon tour
We had an absolute blast. Sri Lanka is a diverse and beautiful place full of amazing food, beautiful scenery and the friendliest people. We could not be happier with Budget Arugambay Tours as they were super helpful since the beginning. Ansa who we conversed over email, was not only thorough but extremely patient and ensured we could tailor the itinerary as much as we wanted, to ensure we had a relaxing but adventurous honeymoon. Abdul, the assistant manager, also frequently checked in during our tour to ensure our standards were being met. And of course, Faina, our guide and driver who took us across the country made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout. He was super flexible if we ever wanted to change our pace at any time. We had the time of our lives with Budget Arugambay Tours and Mr Ansa our guide for the 12 days we were here. He has been so accommodating, knowledgable, friendly, gracious and polite and gave us a very hospitable welcome and wonderful experience in Sri Lanka. Honeymoon with Budget Arugambay Tours
When we decided to visit Sri Lanka for our honeymoon i looked at the usual UK holidays companies such as TUI. Once we realised that Sri Lanka had much more to offer than a beach we decided we needed something a bit more specialist. I looked at the virgin holidays organised tours and they just didnt seem to be very special. I came across Budget Arugambay Tours on trip advisor and I am so glad we decided to book with them. From the very first email they have been great.
I booked the tour with Ansa who revised the intinery around 10 times until we were happy. The payment process was straight forward and she was always available on WhatsApp or email to respond to my queries.
The highlight of our experience with Budget Arugambay Tours however has been our driver and tour guide Faina. Since the very first day he has been absolutley fantastic. The level of service he has provided has gone above and beyond anything we have experienced before or ever expected. His driving is fantastic and I am amazed at his ability to park in such small spaces. The car is air conditioned, comfortable and is stocked with fresh bottled water each day.
Ansa has a great sense of humor, my husband and i are the same age as him so we get on really well. He is also really good with children as we have watched him engage with other tourists. He has also told us stories of his previous trips with elderly guests so he would suit anyone of any age.
Throughout out tour he has shown us the real sri Lanka something we wouldn’t have got with a UK company. We make regular road side stops to try Sri Lanka fruit and other food. The restaurants he has recommended have been great and the best of our trip.
The company has called us a few times throughout our holiday to check everything is ok. Faina makes himself available 24 hours a day and checks via WhatsApp everything is ok. One evening Faina picked us up and took us to restaurant in a local town, waited then drove us back to the hotel. This is something we didnt imagine would be offered from Budget Arugambay Tours.
All the hotels the company booked are fantastic, and have been made aware that we are on our honeymoon; many of them have provided fruit baskets, honeymoon cakes and other treats.
We have rearranged our trip as both my husband and i got ill. The first time we cancelled our walk to Horton plains. Although this was non refundable and we didn’t expect anything to be arranged Faina called the company to arrange a visit to the cultural dance show. In addition to this he secured front row seats as he is friends with the manager of the show. The second time we rescheduled 2 visits in Kandy to following day. Faina did this without difficulty.
Whilst we were ill Faina was concerned and messages us regularly to see if there is anything he could do. He also offered to take us to a doctor. We recovered pretty quickly so this hasn’t impacted our trip.
I can’t speak for any other drivers and guides but if they are all like Faina then i understand why Budget Arugambay Tours are number 1 tour guides in Sri Lanka. We have never met such a happy, welcoming person and he is an absolute credit to Budget Arugambay Tours. Thank you for all the laughs, photos and for an unforgettable honeymoon.
Honeymoon in Sri Lanka
We’re glad to choose Sri Lanka as our honeymoon destination. It is our 1st visit to Sri Lanka. Our 14 days stay in this country has been interesting and unforgettable one! Thanks to Budget Arugambay Tours. that helped to organize and plan everything within a short time.
Initially, we contacted few tour operators in Sri Lanka, and so far Budget Arugambay Tours. is the most responsive and organized. Ansa, the reservations executive who attended to us, is quick to response (he even replied out of her working hours which is greatly appreciated!) and flexible in adjusting the itinerary to accommodate our request and changes multiple times. She also helped to book the hotels that we had specifically requested. Furthermore on certain tourist attractions that we found in the website, she provided some insights on recent bad feedbacks that they received from their clients.
During our trip, the operations manager, Ansa , would check on us regularly to ensure that everyhing is okay. He called us after we landed and met our driver and afterwards, he also regularly checked our wellbeing via phone call through our driver cell and whatsapp chat. It surely made us feel safer.
Last but not least, we would like to thank Faina, our driver and guide! His driving skill is excellent, we felt very safe and in some long journey of 3-4 hours rides, we could take some nap, thanks to his smooth driving.
ishak is also knowledgeable, telling us different animals and birds that we see during our road trip and visit to Yala National Park as well as historical story of different buildigs and tourist attractions. He is also professional by comforting us that it is OK during our visits to some areas that we don’t need to make any purchase. He also accompanied us when we did village tour, Yala National Park and walk around Pettah market to ensure our safety and help us to communicate with local people. It is very nice to learn various things about Sri Lanka from a true Sri Lankan that is passionate about his country.
