During the first eight months of this year, Sri Lanka’s third-largest foreign exchange earner, Tourism sector earned US$ 2.38 billion from US$ 2.97 billion a year ago, reflecting the same trend as tourist arrivals to the country.
During the first eight months of this year, Sri Lanka welcomed 1,267,737 foreign visitors to the country, down 19.9 per cent from 1,582,835 recorded a year earlier.
