Fantastic tour company... Use them! We highly recommend Budget Arugambay tours for anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Not only did Budget Arugam Bay tours organised our safari to Yala and our accommodation at Star Rest Surf Camp in Arugam Bay, but they organised our transport all over Sri Lanka. Ansa and his team looked after us so well - their drivers were always on time, the cars were clean and had powerful A/C, but most importantly, they drove us safely and always got us to our destination on time for a very reasonable price. If you are looking for a tour
Great time with Budget Arugambay Tours We decided to do a half-day afternoon tour through Yala National Park. After being picked up and having a delicious home-cooked lunch in the house of a family nearby, we started the safari. Overall we were very happy as we saw 3 leopards, many crocodiles, elephants, birds, ... Even though our guide wasn't very talkative, he was very good at spotting wildlife, which for us was more important.
Yala Safari Great safari with Budget Arugambay Tours. Our driver was excellent and spotted loads of wildlife to show us even before we were in the park. Had a great meal at a very friendly family home on the way. Once in the park we were joined by a tour guide who was able to tell the us about all the animals and was very knowledgeable about the many birds. Loads of different options to choose from for the safari tour which meant that we were able to pick something perfect for us. Thanks Budget Arugambay Tours for a great
Lovely safari to kumana national park We did a private half day safari in kumana national park with Budget arugam bay tours. Even if we just booked it one day in advance ecerything was well organized. They picked us up from our place at 5am and then we headed off to kumana national park. The cheap was very comfortable and we felt totaly safe.the guys stoped as often as we wanted to take some pictures. They spotted a lot of different animals and explained us everything we wanted to know in a very good english. After the safari we got
Tuktuk Safari We booked the Tuktuk Safari in off season by e-mail. Tuktuk Safari is basically a tuktuk ride to Panama basin (near Arugam Bay, no national park) with stops for animals on the way (next to the road). There are some stones were monkeys gather, a spot were crocodiles gather and the basin is the place were elephants gather if its not wet season. At this time of year (wet season) you barely see elephants because the basin is full of water. Additionally we saw lots of peacock and other birds. If you had good eyes you could have
I took both the tuk tuk safari and lagoon safari ..both delivered on promises of elephants, crocodiles as well as many species of birds, monkeys and reptiles .. a lovely way to spend some peaceful time in this part of Sri Lanka
Nice tuk tuk safari with people who care for animals We really enjoyed the tour, the guy knew where to find crocodile. Here no jeeps, only nature and a few tuktuk. The Panama area is splendid and quiet. We saw crocodiles and even elephants. Very nice experience that we recommend.
Good service, great focus on local sustainability We and our two kids (7&11 yrs) had a half-day early morning safari with Budget Arugambay Tours & would definitely recommend it: The follow up by Ansa, the eager to not only serve you as a guest but also to take care of the local environment & it´s inhabitants was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the safari as such (not very lucky with the day when it came to number of animals, but we still saw numerous bird species, elephants (from a distance), wild buffaloes, deers, crocodiles, wild boar etc), the friendliness of the
Safari and adventurous Camping on the beach We were planning a Safari including night camping and Budget Arugambay Tours offered us a special package according to our price limits. It included a four hours safari ride with a guide and camping on the beach just next to Kumana National Park. We were super lucky to see one of the Leopards and also all different kind of animals such as elephants and buffaloes. The camping afterwards turned out to be a little improvised but so much fun! Be prepared to meet very friendly guys. Collecting woods for the fire, cooking fresh
