Tuktuk Safari We booked the Tuktuk Safari in off season by e-mail. Tuktuk Safari is basically a tuktuk ride to Panama basin (near Arugam Bay, no national park) with stops for animals on the way (next to the road). There are some stones were monkeys gather, a spot were crocodiles gather and the basin is the place were elephants gather if its not wet season. At this time of year (wet season) you barely see elephants because the basin is full of water. Additionally we saw lots of peacock and other birds. If you had good eyes you could have
I took both the tuk tuk safari and lagoon safari ..both delivered on promises of elephants, crocodiles as well as many species of birds, monkeys and reptiles .. a lovely way to spend some peaceful time in this part of Sri Lanka
Nice tuk tuk safari with people who care for animals We really enjoyed the tour, the guy knew where to find crocodile. Here no jeeps, only nature and a few tuktuk. The Panama area is splendid and quiet. We saw crocodiles and even elephants. Very nice experience that we recommend.
Good service, great focus on local sustainability We and our two kids (7&11 yrs) had a half-day early morning safari with Budget Arugambay Tours & would definitely recommend it: The follow up by Ansa, the eager to not only serve you as a guest but also to take care of the local environment & it´s inhabitants was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the safari as such (not very lucky with the day when it came to number of animals, but we still saw numerous bird species, elephants (from a distance), wild buffaloes, deers, crocodiles, wild boar etc), the friendliness of the
Safari and adventurous Camping on the beach We were planning a Safari including night camping and Budget Arugambay Tours offered us a special package according to our price limits. It included a four hours safari ride with a guide and camping on the beach just next to Kumana National Park. We were super lucky to see one of the Leopards and also all different kind of animals such as elephants and buffaloes. The camping afterwards turned out to be a little improvised but so much fun! Be prepared to meet very friendly guys. Collecting woods for the fire, cooking fresh
Incredible experience Night Camping did a full day safari and Night Out in Beach watched so many animals. The guides were really nice and also excellent story tellers. BBQ , Music , Beer , Dinner Lunch and Breakfast. amazing Camping and wildlife Safari in Sri Lanka also Good and comfortable jeep which got into the most difficult paths without problem. Totally recommended!
Great moment during the safari, with a driver who was attentive to us and our different needs. He went out of the beaten tracks to find some wonderful animals: elephants, leopard, crocodiles, deers, colourful birds… thank you very much, one of our best memories of Sri Lanka!
Highlight of my trip to Arugam Bay! 25 crocodiles, 4 elephants, a cobra, a bunch of monkeys, and all the birds in Sri Lanka later…. an amazing experience and a very successful Tuk Tuk safari. Drivers were loads of fun and new all the best spots, a really great afternoon! Highlight of my trip to A-Bay!
Great tuk tuk safari We did a tuk tuk safari late afternoon in the Arugam Bay area. The guys know exactly where to go. So loads of crocodiles and elephant guaranteed and a beautiful sunset! Absolutely worth it!
Brilliant safari, great value! Tuk Tuk Safari 59 crocodiles. 12 elephants. Need I say more? No, but I will. I would definitely go again and recommend to anyone in the area! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and at that price you can’t really go wrong. 10/10.
